Self-Injury/Self-Harm Resources

“The study of self-injury makes clear that the mind and the body are inextricably linked, each feeding from the other’s nourishment or starving from the other’s neglect. The body is, indeed, the temple of the soul. Cutters are living proof that when the body is ravaged, the soul cries out. And when the soul is trampled upon, the body bleeds.”

~ Marilee Strong, A Bright Red Scream.

“Self-injury is one way that survivors make their emotional pain visible.”

~ Donna Rafenello, Can’t Touch My Soul.

Just a note to anyone who comes here to this page:

I do not personally deal with self-injury or self-harm issues. However many of my online survivor friends over the years have and do deal with them. So it was my wish to create a healing resource page on this topic. I have never been a member of the few online support communities that I posted towards the bottom of this page, so I cannot recommend them from any personal experience. If there is anything that you think I should add or delete to this list, please let me know.
