Healing Quotes Littles 58

It is easy to live for others, everybody does. I call on you to live for yourselves.

  1. That is so true. When I was in college there was this girl who was the same age as my son. I heard a professor call her stupid. I told him I didn’t like it and that fool said ” he was just joking.” I could never do that for myself. If someone was putting me down I just froze and couldn’t speak. That was several years ago. Now I can do things according to my own beliefs sometimes.

When I was seriously, deeply depressed I kept my self alive by thinking what my death would do to my son. It didn’t seem I had anything to live for. Now that I found some medication that works for me, it’s clear that I need to be alive. I remember several things I enjoy and I love, love reading. My son moved out and I am redecorating his room as a woman cave. Wasn’t it cool that I could help my young friend? Here and there I can be a blessing to other people. I like that about myself. I have so much to live for.

    • Hi Hope,

I am glad that you were able to stand up for someone else. That is excellent. Definitely you are a blessing to others. I know that you are one for me.

A woman cave, that sounds great. 🙂 I love the idea of it. Good and healing thoughts to you.

  2. I have found that I can only give from what I have. My own “bucket” must be full to be able to “dip in” and share with others. If I am “empty”, there is nothing to give. So being good to yourself is a way of being good to others. That is so especially true for mothers.
I love the idea of a woman cave! I think I shall give my sewing room that name! Thank you Hope.

    Loving life, Granny
