Bliss List #5

Recently Life is Change commented on my post Fun and Games that she loved to go to coffeeshops to write, because she loves the smell of coffee brewing. Me too.

That got me thinking about this. There are only a few smells that I would consider that I love so much that I would call them Bliss. I thought I should add them to my Bliss List.

Bliss List Smells

Fresh Coffee Brewing

Popcorn Popping

Vanilla, in lotion, in candles, in perfume, and when baking.

Freshly cut grass.

Gingerbread, fresh baked smell. I don’t much like the taste, but the smell is wonderful.

Chocolate Cake. The taste is pretty good too.

Cherries, I love cherries. I only rarely buy myself cherries, they just seem too expensive. Sometimes I just go by them in the store, just to smell. Guess I should try to buy them more often.

  1. There’s almost nothing better than the smell of coffee being freshly ground and brewed. *sigh*

I love the smell of lavender, and have it everywhere in my house. It’s a little thing, but it never fails to give me a moment of pleasure.

    • Hi David,

I’m glad that you have a smell that you use everywhere. That is so nice.

One thing that I started doing last summer was put out fresh fruit by my computer and being able to smell it while I was online. It was great fun to eat later after all that aroma was all around me.

  2. Hi Kerro,

Yes, mangos! One of my favorite fruits to sit out so I can smell. I love that.

I was going to add the smell of the ocean, but it’s been so long, I thought maybe I have to go there again to find out if it is still one of my favorite smells.

  3. Don’t laugh. I love the smell of newborn puppies — and coffee, nothin’ like coffee brewing and I don’t even like the taste.

    • Hi Ivory,

I was going to put the smell of puppies down on my list too. Thought it might sound too weird, so I didn’t. Thanks for saying it, now I can too. I love puppes and they smell great too. They smell all sweet and innocent. It is lovely.

      🙂
